Baby Chicks at Trinity Haymarket

Starting our 5th year as an independently owned small farm/feed store we decided it was time to start selling baby chicks in our store.  From the day we opened on October 4, 2012 our mission and tenet was to only sell and promote Non-gmo and Organic feeds, seeds, and grains.  Supporting a sustainable lifestyle we have focused from the beginning on raising backyard chickens, organic gardening, composting, and beekeeping.  We started selling heritage breed  pullets (young chickens around 8 to 12 weeks old) but continued to get requests from our customers to sell baby chicks.  The chicks are heritage breeds, have been sexed, and vaccinated for Marek''s disease.  While we are raising them in the store they are fed Non-Gmo Hugelland Premium Starter feed and New Country Organic Starter feed.  We currently have 8 baby chicks left to sell that are in the store as of April 12, 2017.
